Hear ye, hear ye, calling all members - Newsletters provide a wealth of information and are the go-to documents for Guild-related information. It truly takes a village to create and is full of details, so please take a few minutes to read it and catch-up on all the Guild has to (offer e.g. programs, classes, retreats, musings, etc.).
For your convenience, current year newsletters are located below. One year total newsletters are maintained online.
Did you have an article that you would like to submit for the newsletter? The deadline for submissions is the Friday after the Board meeting (which occurs the 2nd Tuesday of the month). If you have information to add to the newsletter, it takes time to type, copy, paste, add, sort, edit, crop, turn, flip, squeeze, save...OK...you get the idea. So don't delay! Send submissions to the newsletter editor by the date above. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
The bylaws of the Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild govern the activities of the Guild. Please contact the President with any questions.

What does this mean to Members?
Programs & Classes are discussed at each meeting as well as outlined in the monthly Newsletter.

An Americanism dating from 1910-1915, a doohickey is a gadget; a dingus; a thingumabob; a nifty quilting tool that a quilter may want, has never heard of, or is too expensive to purchase.
Each month a new Doohickey is offered to our membership. It may be a new “cool” tool or it may be something tried and true; expensive or not so much.
Tickets are $1.00 and monthly prizes are determined by the number of tickets sold the previous month. The winning ticket will be drawn at the end of the evening meeting.

Minutes are taken at each general (member) meeting and may be downloaded/viewed in the Minutes section below.

The Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild has more than 800 books and magazines in its library dealing with all aspects of quilting and quilt making. Visit the library during the regular Guild meetings and take home some books for quilting inspiration!
While the Guild operates on a fiscal calendar (Sept. 1 - Aug. 31), the Minutes below are listed as a calendar year, starting with January. Minutes must be approved by the Board. There is therefore a slight delay prior to posting.
