Here's what's going on this month. If you have any questions about any of these events, please check out the current Newsletter for contact information.  Here are the regular and ongoing Groups and Sit-N-Sews:

  • Quilts of Valor:  This group meets the first Wednesday of each month, 9 am to 2 pm, at the First Congregational Church, 2201 7th Avenue, Moline.  Members and non members alike invited.  Contact Terry Austin for details.
  • Quilt Queens:  This Sit-n-Sew group meets every 3rd Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2363 W. 3rd Street, Davenport.  Their second meeting is the 4th Thursday of month from 9:30 am to 3 pm at the Eastern Avenue Branch Library.  All guild members welcome.  Contacts:  Bev Hoy, Marlis Beechamp, Linda Johnston.
  • Quilt Getaway:  There are multi-day schedules for these getaways at the Deere-Wiman Carriage house, 1105 8th Street, Moline, 9 am to 10 pm (unless otherwise noted).  Dates vary so contact Sharon Maroney or Gloria Kloos for monthly dates.
  • Charity Quilts:  Held the 2nd Thursday of the month, 9 am to 3 pm at the Deere Wiman Carriage House in Moline.  Bring a sack lunch.  Contact Donna & Garry Lanman (563.323.9539).
  • Doll Quilts:  Held the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except June & July; possibly other months as needed), 9 am at the Deere-Wiman Carriage House, Moline.  Bring sewing machines and/or be prepared to cut and kit.  Kits available at each guild meeting for those wishing to work at home.  For more information, contact Margaret Paulos.
  • Shakespeare Stitchers:  This group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9 am to 3 pm at the Butterworth Education Center in Moline.  Contact:  Pam Hillyer
  • Fiber Arts Group:  This group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 1 pm. at the Fairmount Branch of the Davenport Public Library.  Contact:  Colleen Curry
  • EQ Club:  Contact Carol Baldry with questions about this group.
  • Davenport Library Sit-N-Sew:  Contact Sharon Maroney or Gloria Kloos for details on this group.
  • Next Generation Sit-N-Sew:  Open to quilters in their 20's and 30's, this group meets the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month.  Beginners welcome.  Contact Stephanie DePasquale Soebbing for information.
  • Junior Sit & Sew:  Junior sewers accompanied by an adult mentor welcome.  1 pm to 4 pm, 3rd Sunday of each month.  Contact Faye Kunz with questions.
